DesertBus 2025 (19th of its name) - VST Application Form

It comes by, rain or snow. Pandemic or technical difficulties.
Desert Bus is upon us again. Friday, November 14th at 15:00 PST through to whenever the run ends.
We'll obviously try to schedule to cover more hours than we think the run will be (~169 hours).
But (obviously) we have no way to be really sure how long this year's will be.

IMPORTANT NOTE: We are keeping how we did hours for the last few years.
People will only be assigned to a maximum of: 6 hours per "day" (it's complicated...).
We ask that you please fill out the form with your availability and we will schedule time as seems reasonable.
The goal (as usual) is to avoid people getting burned out and making sure resources are distributed more evenly.

NOTE: We'll be continuing to use Zulip again this year for chatting.
Any new people will get invites/information once we've established the final list of volunteers this year.
If you lost / forgot your Zulip password: please hit up Sokar or Ekim if the recovery tool doesn't work.

Thank you all for your continued support of Desert Bus for Hope and the Video Strike Team.
Let's continue to astound the crew and viewers with our ability. And of course, help raise money for charity.

The form will be closed on: October 3rd at 9PM PDT.
We will do our best to notify everyone by: October 10th.
The expectation is that training should be completed by the end of October.

(required fields are in red)

*Were you part of the VST last year?

Time Availability:

PLEASE ONLY SIGN UP FOR TIME SLOTS THAT YOU KNOW YOU CAN HELP IN

If you need to edit your available times: use the fancy new edit code! OR
message Sokar with the changes you need to make.

If you need to edit your times AFTER the form closes: Contact: Sokar / Dicey / Ekim for scheduling adjustment.

[When we do scheduling: You will be assigned a maximum* of 6 hours per 'day', you will not necessarily get all the time you select]
*Note: SuperCut / Art / Gif / Special Human teams operate on an "avaliability" window (work is sporatic) thus: they get ALL the time they sign up for.

When can you support VST operations?

(All times in Bus time which is PST (UTC -8))
