This slate was found resting on the hillside above the former quarry town of Bethesda in North Wales, a few miles from the Eryri (eh-ruh-ree) / Snowdonia National Park.
Following on the momentum of last year's submission, I wanted to explore the concept of "King on Slate" further by looking into Celtic design.

Slate with matt varnish coating.

The object is a slab of slate. It risks causing damage to itself or to what it impacts, if it falls.
A few years ago I had the opportunity to learn how to use maker space equipment and now I use lasers to explore ideas which would otherwise be barred from me if I would use a traditional approach.
