These are two Damascus steel kitchen knives. The smaller of the two is a traditional chef’s knife, great for fine work and chopping vegetables. The larger is my take on a breaking knife, excellent for large cuts of meat or fish, fibrous veggies like roots or gourds, or pretending to be a ninja while you cook.
Both are made from hand made 1095/Invar Damascus (pattern weld) steel with walnut handles. The two knives each feature a variation of “raindrop” pattern Damascus. One with a low layer count to provide a smooth, even cutting surface, the other with a high layer count to provide a micro-serrated edge.
They are accompanied by a maple butcher block cutting board and a maple & leather strop for edge maintenance.
All wood is treated with coconut oil and beeswax. Blades treated with paraffin. These are carbon steel blades, NOT stainless. To prevent surface rusting, don’t let them soak and be sure to dry them immediately after use.
