A celebration of the world of J.R.R. Tolkein’s timeless masterpiece The Lord of the Rings, this hand-painted clock is designed to be both functional and beautiful. In the center shines the Tree of Gondor, symbol of the kingdom of Men. Encircling the crest are the gold letters of the inscription of Sauron’s weapon, the One Ring of Power: “One ring to rule them all, one ring to find them, One ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them.” The next layer displays the green leaves of Lothlórien, sanctuary of the Elves. The final outside level is decorated with Dwarven knotwork, behind which lies their gold treasure. The clock hands faithfully reproduce two famous swords. The minute hand is Glamdring the Foehammer, the sword of Gandalf. The hour hand is Sting the sword of Bilbo Baggins, the blade of which bears Bilbo’s inscription, “Sting is my name; I am the spider's bane.” The clock hangs flush on any wall and is powered by one AA battery. Measures 15” across and 1.75” deep.
