Silent Auction Description "My armour is like tenfold shields, my teeth are swords, my claws spears, the shock of my tail a thunderbolt my wings a hurricane, and my breath death!"

So boasts Smaug to a tasty Barrel-Rider in Tolkien's classic, The Hobbit. In 1937, Tolkien painted watercolors of scenes from that book, including the Conversation with Smaug. This diorama pays homage to Tolkien's illustration with a needle-felted Smaug on his papier-mâché hoard, as a polymer clay Bilbo pays his respects. Smaug is removable, and contains an armature wire through his body and wings for flexability and posability. His hoard contains gold glitter and plastic jewels, including the magnificent Arkenstone. The polymer clay bones of dwarves circle the hoard, their LEGO weapons and armor useless against the might of Smaug!

"Never laugh at live dragons, Bilbo you fool!"

Craft-Along? Yep!
