You can hang it as a traditional charm, a hallowe'en decoration, or snip off the broom and give it to a kid. The creator lets her 1-yr old chew on one but has removed the broom & stitched down the hat & coat to avoid losing them. If they do get lost, it's still a doll.
This is the first crocheted toy invented from scratch by Plaidalicious, and the pattern on Ravelry really needs a better explanation of how I do the feet. It's going to get an update soonish, though.
